I consider myself a professional mover. Not the kind you hire to tape up boxes and move your refrigerator, but the person who decides, for whatever reason, to uproot from one place to another. I moved into my first apartment at 18. Since then, I’ve moved over 30 times: once across the street, twice across the coast, once out of the country, three times in with a boyfriend, and twice because of a divorce. In all that messiness, I’ve learned that home is less where we are and more how we feel when we’re there.
The best spaces evolve, as people do. My design process is exactly that: a process. I like to feel your floors under my feet, run my hands along the walls, and look out the windows at the view. I take the time to get to know you and your space, working with you to create a home that resonates with you. Good design is functional and inviting, but also reflective of the person living there. Your home should feel like you. This takes time and patience. We’ll begin with some ideas. Some will work out, some won’t. Where we start is rarely where we’ll end up.
My rates are simple and affordable, making it easy to get started and go at your own pace. Whether you rent or own, want to go big or start small, I’ll meet you where you are. We can refresh your whole house or start with a single shelf…the smallest change can have the biggest impact!
RATES:
● $200 CONSULTATION AND DESIGN PLAN. (90 minutes). I will come to your home
and take a thorough look at your place, getting to know its quirks and characteristics.
We’ll discuss what you love about your place, what you don’t like, and what could be
better. We’ll establish your major design goals. With that in mind, you will be given a
design plan with clear action steps that you can follow at your own pace.
● PROJECT BASED (Negotiable Fee). We’ll discuss the goals and scope of your design project and negotiate a flat-rate project fee. The fee will cover up to a calendar year of design services, eliminating the pressure of time constraints, and making it simple and affordable for you to invest in your home.
